GIRLS NIGHT IN 2008

On Saturday the 25th of October, Juanita Govett hosted a “Girls Night In” at Le Fevre Baptist Church.

The event was a fun-filled fifties theme night complete with guests dressing up, hulu hoop competition, quizzes, singalong, plenty of 50″s food, auction of donated goods & what better way to end a 50″s evening than watching the movie Grease! Juanita is celebrating being in remission from breast cancer 11 years this year & is thrilled that the night raised $886.50 for breast cancer research.

The theme was “the 1970′s” and was attended by approximately 50 ladies, including several breast cancer survivors. Lots of ladies “dressed up” for the occasion & a wonderful time was had by all with plenty of positive feedback & plenty of “See you next year”‘s! Glen Govett was our auctioneer for the evening with the combined proceeds of the auction, donations & cake stall, raising $ 1,268.80
